Football club is on Mondays after school: 3.15 – 4.15.

By working together on drills, tactical discussions and small games, students can improve themselves as football players.

On Monday, the Year 3/4 girls had a football match and they continued where the Year 5/6s finished off on Friday. They were comfortable winners against a spirited Thorpe Hall Side. NEWS

Yesterday our Year 3/4 Girls’ Football Team WON the Southend Schools Football Tournament at Len Forge. The day was wintry, the girls were cold, but nothing stopped them! From the outset they were determined to enjoy the day and savour every minute of the new challenge for many. They played 10 matches, were unbeaten all day and only conceded 1 goal (scored in the first 3 minutes of the first game). The girls were excellent and throughout each game they improved their play, resulting in a nail-biting final against Temple Sutton that went to extra time. After some last ditch tackles and great saves by Sofia (gk) that stopped Temple Sutton scoring, they finally got the chance they were waiting for. The winning ‘Golden-Goal’ was scored by Isla and the girls, along with the travelling supporters were jubilant.

A huge well done to Sofia Sorrentino, Sofia Sargent, Poppie Davies (1 goal), Ronnie-Rae Taylor, Chloe Boys (2 goals), Charlotte Whitehead, Maddison George, Isla Edwards (7 goals), Daisy Lee-Wood on a great achievement.
